EMPLOYMENT EQUITY & BEE STATUS

At Polo Electrical, we respect Employment Equity as a key principle, instrumental in our work ethic -creating an environment of optimum productivity, with all-round employee, service provider and, most of all, client satisfaction. Polo Electrical is a BBBEE (Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment) with a level-1 rating, and strives in bridging the gap within South Africa and the Construction Industry with the intention of effectively and efficiently re-addressing the imbalances of the past by developing specific principles to achieve social and economic equity. Engaging in such policies has afforded us the privilege of witnessing the great heights of human potential, inspiring a culture of progress that has embedded itself in our approach to business, both in-office and on-site.

PREFERENTIAL PROCUREMENT/
Purchasing Policy:

We also strive to support local businesses and enterprises owned by previously disadvantaged individuals who have embraced opportunities for selfsustainability. We aim to direct our purchasing of materials to these channels, wherever possible. This encourages a system that is based on fairness, clarity, cost-effectiveness for clients and positive competition.

OWNERSHIP
We strive to achieve our objectives

Polo Electrical boasts a team of highly skilled, productive and well-equipped individuals who make daily operations,
both on-site and in-office, a great success. As a 100% Black Enterprise (BBE) and 85% Black Women Enterprise (BWE), we are proudly BBBEE-Level 1 compliant, and flourish in the construction industry as a BWE.

Employment Equity :
Our Employment Equity has added value to the B-BBEE legislation in that currently equal employment opportunity exists
for previously HDI (Historically Disadvantaged Individuals), taking into consideration skills and abilities to perform is a
primary recommendation to this effect.

Persons With Disabilities :
Polo Electrical has engaged in employing person/s with disabilities in the office environment. Our current project is to engage
persons with disabilities from these Organisations to train, at our offices, basic skills such as filing, switchboard operations,
faxing and emailing, which will develop hand-eye co-ordination, listening and speaking skills, enabling these individuals to
achieve the necessary skills, motivation, responsibility, but most importantly, confidence and worth for future development.

Skills Development Including :
Polo Electrical is actively involved in Core skills training or ‘hands-on training’ to previously disadvantaged persons.
Our company has already, and will continue to, train, mentor and provide guidance and opportunities to previously
disadvantaged persons to engage and grow in leadership and managerial supervisory positions, enabling them to have a
clear role of leadership by managing and overseeing projects on-site and staff working under them.

Persons With Disabilities :
To fulfil our social responsibility by partnering with programs and organisations in a manner appropriate to our business for social
upliftment in our community and at large.

Polo Electrical aims to provide a complete service with stellar workmanship, and without compromising safety, all while staying focused on our greatest priority - client satisfaction. Together, our team’s extensive knowledge and skills base in the industry has enabled us to grow with everincreasing reliability and adaptability, and our unparalleled
commitment to every client has, time and time again, resulted in the successful delivery of projects, both within South Africa, and throughout the African continent.
